Innis Erasmus

Physiotherapist and Practice owner of ProFisio Incorporated (since 2002)

  • Physiotherapist for the Stormers Rugby Team in 2004

  • Completed the Ironman in 2009

Innis has a special interest in the treatment, management and rehabilitation of sport injuries. He enjoys cross training as well as strength training. His passion and biggest challenge is to transform individuals and groups by advising and assisting patients and athletes to strive for a better physical, mental and total well-being.

Dalene Erasmus

Physiotherapist (with ProFisio for over 20 years)

  • Studied at the University of Pretoria
  • Orthopaedic Manual Therapy course at Stellenbosch University

Dalene has a great approach to Orthopaedic Physiotherapy with a special interest in peripheral joints, especially shoulder problems. She enjoys cycling, gym, reading and cooking.

Darryl Claassen

Physiotherapist (in private practice for 15 years)

  • BSc (Physio) at UFS in 2002
  • Was the physiotherapist for the Border region of the Eastern Cape Academy of Sport
  • Has managed the injuries of the Springbok woman’s rugby players based in the Border region
  • Played provincial hockey at youth level
  • Played cricket at premier league level
  • Completed three Ironman 70.3 events and 2 Full Ironman events
  • Current Physiotherapist for SWD Eagles Rugby Team (Curry Cup First Division and Supersport Rugby Challenge)

Darryl has experience in musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries as well as orthopaedic injuries and conditions. He has worked with top athletes in rugby and athletics, including road running and triathlon. He has a passion for golfing biomechanics and is a keen sportsman himself.

Chantel Claassen

Physiotherapist (in private practice for 14 years)

  • Cum laude in B.Sc. (Physio) at UFS in 2003
  • Worked with the SA U21 Men’s Hockey team
  • Provincial colours in cross country running at school level

Chantel has experience in musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries as well as orthopaedic injuries and conditions, to name but a few. She also enjoys road running.

Wessel Mienie

Physiotherapist (joined ProFisio in 2017)

  • Kovsies (UFS) First Aid 2012 to 2015
  • North-West University Physio from 2015 to 2016
  • Rhino’s National Rugby League Physiotherapist between 2016 and 2017
  • Current Physiotherapist to the SWD Eagles Under-20 team and Outeniqua High School
  • Represented SA in match fishing in 2010
  • Part of the Eden Freshwater Team 2018-2021
  • Currently a Pro-Angler for Supercast

Wessel especially enjoys working with in-hospital and ICU patients, as well as treating sports related injuries. He is a keen Southern Cape freshwater angler and also an avid Photographer.

Zanelle van der Westhuizen

Physiotherapist (8 years in private practice)

  • BPhysT degree (University of Pretoria) 2008
  • Physiotherapist for the Mpumalanga Gert Sibande Netball team during their National Tour to Cape Town in 2010.
  • Physiotherapist at the SAPD National Badminton and Athletics Tournaments in 2010 and 2011 working together with Sports Doctor, Dr. Lourens Erasmus.
  • Provincial Ringball player for the Mpumalanga Gert Sibande team at the Margate Nationals in 2015.
  • Cricket umpire for H/S Eldoraigne in Pretoria in 2001 and 2002. 
  • Action Netball player for the Secunda A-league for 6 years

Zanelle relocated from Secunda, Mpumalanga, where she owned and managed her own private practice for 7 years. She has a special interest in musculoskeletal disorders, neck and back injuries, orthropeadics, sport injuries and ergonomics.

Lindie is a fresh new face at ProPhysio who relocated from the Freestate where she just completed her studies and done her Physiotherapy Community Service at the Department of Defence Military Hospital in Bloemfontein. She has a special interest in in-hospital patients as well as sports-related injuries. Her hobbies include being outdoors, road running and reading.

Johno is a passionate, rehabilitation centred Physiotherapist with a special interest in vertebral, strength and conditioning rehabilitation. He enjoys the outdoors, surfing, running and spearfishing.

Deon finds it very rewarding to assist patients who strive to improve themselves. He is also a keen sports fan and plays golf, enjoys photography and visiting places of historical interest.

Jeanne joined her husband (and owner of the practice) in 2004. She qualified from the Teacher Training College in Bloemfontein and worked as a teacher in Sandton for a few years. She is great at multi-tasking and ensures the smooth running of the practice. Her interests are writing, reading, cycling and the outdoors.

Practice Manager and Personal Assistant to the Owner

Marlene joined ProFisio Incorporated in 2017. She has more than 20 years’ experience in General Management, Marketing and Brand Management, HR Management, Retail Services, Bookkeeping and Customer Service. Marlene is a huge motivational factor in the practice and ensures systematic, organized functioning of her colleagues and the practice. She enjoys reading, writing and travelling.

Regiena has been with ProFisio Incorporated for the past 9 years. She is responsible for keeping the practice tidy and in order. She is also in charge of all patient files and practice stock requirements. Regiena has a pleasant disposition and is always willing to assist us with tasks. She enjoys a good laugh and shows great interest in the wellbeing of others.
